Levi Everett a.k.a. DYNAMITE PETE has a story as old as Louisville itself.

Pete was a slight man that was known for his long hair & beard. He most often wore overalls & was not a fan of shoes or shirts. He worked in the quarry carry explosives in & placing the DYNAMITE for blasting the rocks. Pete lived in a shack built at the entrance of a cave along the Pawnee Creek.
